Exhaust Systems

Exhaust- standard:

A full range of factory standard exhaust systems can be sourced. From Alfa Romeo to Volvo. European, Asian, English, American and not to leave out good old Aussie cars. Also 4X4,s and some light trucks. Where possible we like to use superior Australian made products. All of our factory standard exhaust range complies to or exceeds manufacture's specification. These parts are fully guaranteed.

Extractors:

Extractors or headers are designed to compliment the right exhaust system and increase fuel economy and power. We have access to several different brands and applications, whether it is for a diesel, 4X4 or a super high performance street machine. Extractors also come in a range of heat proof coatings.

Performance:

Experts in custom bending, we buy all of our tube in bulk, so we can pass on the savings to you our customer. A large range of mufflers are also kept in stock, these can be mild or stainless steel. (mufflers, resinators & cannons). In most cases performance systems will give a vehicle significant increases in power, at the same time emitting a deep grunty note. Not all performance systems need to be loud though. There is also a range that increases power and fuel economy but is on the quieter end of the scale.

E.g. ideal for the 4X4 enthusiast.

Catalytic Converters:

Vehicles with a build date January 1986 on (excluding some 4X4 and commercial vehicles) by law must be fitted with a catalytic converter. These catalytic converters consist of a thick gauge stainless steel body shell and an internal monolithic substrate constructed of either ceramic or metal. This substrate is coated with numerous precious metals such a Palladium and rhodium. At the correct temperature as gases flow through the substrate, a chemical reaction occurs, resulting in a much more environmentally friendly exhaust gas. The easiest way to describe the substrate itself, is a ceramic brick with a series of holes (cel./ channels) through it. Almost like a bee's honey comb. On a standard converter there would be approximately 400 cells per square inch. There is also a hi-flow converter which would normally have approximately 200 cells per square inch. So the fewer cells the higher the flow rate. This application is mainly used on high performance vehicles.
