- WHICH ECU IS FOR ME?
Link Engine Management is a global leader in motorsport electronics and performance technology. Link specialise in the development, manufacture and marketing of engine control units (ECUs) built to manage a wide range of vehicles from everyday road cars to motorsport and powersport vehicles.

Link have designed a range of ECU and engine management products to meet the needs of any driver – from the entry-level Atom to the high-end Thunder – there is a Link ECU designed for you. Link ECU’s engine management range is constantly evolving to be at the forefront of performance and exhilaration, but their principles stay the same – power, ease of tuning & performance. All ECU products are designed to get you out and achieving your best, as fast as possible and without fail.

When it comes to Link ECU's we have you covered. We can supply, install, wire-in and tune your Link ECU all in house with our qualified auto electricians and Mainline Dyno. Or if you prefer to DIY then we can supply all you need to do it yourself at home.
Link WireIn standalone ECUs are the ultimate in flexibility – completely adaptable to any vehicle or application. Decide what you want to achieve with your car, boat, drift, motorcycle, airplane, jetski etc, consider your transmission and engine modfiications, and then select from the range listed below.
Link’s G4+ Fury, Xtreme ECU G4+X, Storm ECU G4+s, Thunder ECU G4+T are all tried and tested to provide enhanced engine performance on a wide variety of vehicle applications.

We can also provide you with the correct wiring looms and accessories necessary for your standalone to achieve your vehicle’s goals.

All Link ECUs (Engine Control Units) are 100% New Zealand designed and developed. Link also offer a limited lifetime warranty so if your ECU breaks in the normal course of its designed use then they will repair or replace, no questions asked.
The Atom runs on the proven Link G4+ platform, has full configurability and is rated to IP67, making it dust and waterproof.

The Atom can control up to 2 rotors or 4 cylinders with sequential injection and direct spark. This makes it ideal for naturally aspirated engines that just need a retune and don’t need all the extra sensors and features that come with our higher level ECUs.
If you like the value of the Atom, but are looking for a couple of extra features, then the Monsoon is the ECU for you.

With the Monsoon you have all the tuning capabilities of the Atom, but you can also choose to run some of the following features: Gearshift Control, Launch Control, Anti-lag, VVT Control and Closed Loop Boost Control. It also comes with a built in 4Bar MAP sensor further reducing installation cost.

Note: The Monsoon will run any of the above features, but it cannot run them all at once. The amount of features you can run is dependent on how many of the limited Inputs and Outputs each feature needs.

The Monsoon can control up to 2 rotors or 4 cylinders with sequential injection and direct spark. This makes it ideal for naturally aspirated or turbocharged engines that just need a retune and one or two extra features, so you don’t need to jump up to one of our higher level ECUs.
The Kurofune is Link’s first G4+ ECU built to run off adapter looms.

The Kurofune is a direct replacement for a common aftermarket Japanese ECU, but with significantly more functionality and user configurability than the ECU it replaces. Sharing the same connector footprint and pinout to this ECU means there are already a host of aftermarket adapter looms that will allow the Kurofune to plug straight in.

Special hardware features included in the Kurofune, such as differential trigger inputs and analog outputs which can be used to emulate a MAF or oxygen sensor, makes it Link’s most suitable ECU for “piggy back” type installs.
If it is value for money you are after, the Storm is the ECU for you. The Storm offers most of the advanced G4+ tuning features, at an extremely competitive price.

The Storm has more inputs (digital, analogue and temp), as well as more outputs than the Atom and Monsoon. Its 8 Injector drives and 8 ignition drives allows sequential injection and direct spark on engines up to 8 cylinders.

If it is Traction control, e-throttle or Peak and Hold injection you are after, consider an Xtreme or Fury.
The Xtreme is one of Link’s premium ECU’s with more inputs, outputs and features.

The Xtreme has Peak and Hold Injection, built in E-throttle and all the advanced features including Anti-lag, Cruise Control and Traction Control.

With 8 Peak and Hold Injector drives and 8 ignition drives the Xtreme can control up to 4 rotors or 8 cylinders with sequential injection and direct spark. The Xtreme is a great choice for professional level motorsport or more demanding road car applications.
If it is Onboard Digital Wideband Lambda Control you are after, consider the Fury.
A premium ECU with Onboard Digital Wideband.

The Fury has a similar spec level to the Xtreme but with added Onboard Digital Wideband Lambda Control.

With 8 Peak and Hold injector drives and 6 ignition drives the Fury can control up to 3 rotors or 6 cylinders with sequential injection and direct spark, making it a great choice for professional level motorsport or more demanding road car applications.
If it is sequential injection and direct spark for 8 cylinders you are after, consider a Storm, Xtreme or Thunder.
The Thunder is our biggest, most advanced ECU yet.

The Thunder is designed for high end applications requiring maximum performance, flexibility and tuning control. The Thunder has more inputs, more outputs and more features than any other Link ECU.

The Thunder has all the features found on other LinkECU’s plus onboard 3 axis accelerometer, two EGT thermocouple inputs, two Onboard Lambda Controllers and 2 x E-throttle Controllers.
If it is Direct Injection you are after, consider the Force GDI.
The Force GDI is our first ECU built specially to control Gasoline Direct Injection engines.

As well as full GDI control, the Force GDI offers on-board digital wideband, E-throttle control, high voltage injector and high pressure fuel pump management, plus all the other features you have come to expect from one of Link’s world leading ECUs.

The Force GDI can control up to 4 cylinders with direct injection.
Please confirm with LinkECU’s tech support if your engine is supported before purchasing.

PLUG-IN ECU's
Link PlugIn ECUs totally replace the original factory
ECU, in the original location. Fast install, full engine
management, tuning solution!

Link Plug-In ECUs provide a straight forward way to
gain full control over your engine functions, whilst
still keeping the stock appearance & wiring of the
car’s original engine control unit.

Where possible, the factory enclosure is reused and a
replacement board is supplied which the installer
swaps for the original factory board inside the original
enclosure. Where this is not possible due to the design
of the factory ECU, the Link ECU is supplied in a full or
partial replacement enclosure.
